Are your products clean?

Clean is a description widely used in beauty but doesn’t have a clean definition. Our products are non-toxic to the body and for nature. They are biodegradable and reef-safe, vegan, and cruelty-free. You can review the ingredients we use and what products they are in on the Ingredients page.

Are your products all-natural/organic?

We aim for our products to be as natural as possible but efficacy and safety for your body and skin are the top priority. Our products are formulated by scientists using high quality ingredients that are mostly natural or naturally derived with a few selected bio-engendered elements. Sometimes it is more sustainable to use a non-toxic/safe engineered ingredient rather than a pure plant derived compound.


Why do you use synthetic ingredients in your products?

We have found that safe/non-toxic synthetic ingredients are important to maintain effectiveness and stability of a high-performance line. Our are to be priorities to be safe and as sustainable as possible while providing you effective products.


Are your products vegan?

Our current available products are vegan, but we consider ourselves a vegan-friendly brand, meaning we are open to using sustainably sourced ingredients such as honey and beeswax.


Do your products contain gluten?

No, none of Blu&Green’s products are formulated with gluten.


Are your products for all hair types and ages?

Yes, unless otherwise stated on the product description our products have been developed for all hair types, and ages of hair. Our products are also safe for color treated hair. If you have any concerns we suggest you do a patch test before use.


Are your products safe to use while pregnant or nursing?

Our products are gentle and non-toxic and do not contain any ingredients known to be unsafe during pregnancy or nursing. We develop all of our products within the strict guidelines of US and European safety laws. If you have any concerns about the ingredients you should discuss these with your healthcare provider.


Do you test your products on animals?

No. We never test on animals. Each product has been thoroughly tested by our team, and extensions of our team in New York and Costa Rica.


Do your products contain palm oil?

We do not use unsustainable palm oil in our products. Any ingredients derived from palm are 100% RSPO (Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil) CSPO (Certified Sustainable Palm Oil), and come from our trusted suppliers that provide traceable supply chains.


Where are the products made?

All of our products are formulated and made in the United States.


Is there a fragrance added to your products?

Some of our products have a mild scent that is part of our functional 100% essential oil blend. This blend has been added for its scent but is comprised of ingredients that benefit the hair, scalp, and nervous system.


Do your products have an expiration date?

Most of our products do not have an expiration date because they are beauty products. All beauty products have a PAO or period-after-opening date, that is the recommended time to use your product after opening it. The PAO is marked on the packaging either 12M OR 24M, this refers to the number of months in which we recommend using the product.


Do you do refills?

Due to time needed to test products in paper and pulp based packaging materials, we currently do not offer refills, but they are coming soon! We are in the process of testing plastic free materials for refill packaging, and will be offering refills in the near future. We will let you know as soon as refills are available through our newsletter and on social.

What makes your packaging eco-friendly?

Our packaging is plastic-free, is made of recycled materials and is always recyclable. Our tin containers are minimally designed to be re-used, and tin is a material that is accepted by almost every recycling program in the world, as well as being infinitely recyclable. Our paper packaging elements are made from 100%pcw, are FSC certified and can be either recycled or, since we only use plant-based inks in the printing process, can be home-composted. We are also choosing the most lightweight packaging we can to reduce carbon emissions in shipping.


Do you use bioplastics?

We do not use bioplastics. We have see that most bioplastics and compostable plastics are more problematic than traditional plastics. They can be difficult to dispose of after use and can end up contaminating plastic recycling or end up in landfill as they require industrial composting which is not commonly accessible around the world. We want our packaging to be as easy to deal with after use as possible. At the moment we have chosen to focus on paper pulp products and recycled metals and are open to new innovations as they become industrially available.


Do you do refills?

How do Blu&Green subscriptions work?

Our subscriptions offer increased convenience and price in replenishing your products, on your schedule. When subscribing we will ensure your products are automatically shipped to you at your selected frequency, which can be adjusted at any time. All subscriptions save 10% off.


Can I cancel my subscription at any time?

Yes, you can cancel at any time as long as a product has not already been shipped out, you will stop receiving that product.

How far in advance do I need to make adjustments to my account for frequency or cancelation changes?

Please send change requests for your subscription 48 hours before the next shipment date.


Can I purchase a subscription as a gift?

Yes, you can set up a subscription to any name and address and you will be billed for each order processed. And you can cancel this as you desire.


What payment methods to you accept?

We currently accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, Paypal and Afterpay.


How do I buy a gift card?

How do I redeem a gift card?

To redeem a gift card, enter the gift-card code in the check-out process in the text field labeled “Gift Card or Discount Code”.


Can I cancel my order once it has been placed?

Before you make an order please confirm all information is correct. We are not able to make changes to an order once it is in process to be shipped. If you need to make a change or cancel an existing order, please contact us as quickly as possible at hello@bluandgreen.com for assistance.


Can I get a refund?

We want you to love your Blu&Green purchase. If you are not totally satisfied, please email hello@bluandgreen.com within 30 days of purchase and we can discuss. Shipping fees are non-refundable. Our warehouse does not accept returns, so we cannot ensure a refund unless you have contacted us before returning the items and a return authorization and the correct return address.


Can I exchange a product?

If a product is unopened, we are happy to exchange it for another Blu&Green product of equal value.


Can I return a gift?

If you would like to return a gift, please contact us at hello@bluandgreen.com for return instructions. Refunds may be issued in the form of site credit.


Do I have to pay return shipping fees?

Unfortunately, all shipping fees are non-refundable. You will be responsible for paying your own shipping costs when returning your items. For larger returns we recommend using a shipping service that offers tracking or insurance as if a return item is lost in the shipment back, we cannot issue a refund.


What if my order never arrived?

If your order has been marked as delivered but you can’t find it please contact us at hello@bluandgreen.com and we would be happy to help.


What if my products arrived damaged?

If your product has arrived damaged during transit, photograph the box and product inside and send to us at hello@bluandgreen.com immediately with ‘damaged product’ and your order number in the subject line. We will review it and get back to you.


Does Blu & Green ship outside of the United States?

We currently ship within the United States and will notify you through our newsletter and on social as soon as we begin shipping internationally.

Do you offer free shipping?

We offer complimentary standard shipping on orders over $75 within the United States.


Where do you ship?

At this time we ship within the United States.We will notify you through our newsletter and on social as soon as we begin shipping internationally.


What shipping options do you offer and what do they cost?

We offer two ways to get Blu&Green products. 1) Standard FedEx ground shipping for all orders and 2) 2-Day shipping for orders over $75?


Once I have placed my order can I change the delivery address?

If you have made an error entering your shipping address or need to make a change, please contact us at hello@bluandgreen.com as soon as possible, and we will make every effort to adjust your order.


Can I track my order?

You can track your order by clicking the link in your order confirmation email, or searching the tracking number provided. If you have any issues with tracking your order please email hello@bluandgreen.com with your order number and we can help.


What happens if there is a problem with shipping?

If a package is undeliverable the order will be canceled and refunded once we have recieved the product back.
